The Comelec En Banc reaffirmed the decision of the Comelec 2nd Division sometime in the last week of September 2007.
Congressman Vicente "Varf" Belmonte was proclaimed as the official Representive of 1st District of Lanao del Norte and Iligan City.
He took his oath immediately in the House of Congress which was officiated by House Speaker Jose de Venecia.
